My company isn’t on social media to get work; we do this for manufacturing exposure.” Wolter expresses the importance of showcasing manufacturing in the positive, innovative light that it deserves. She believes that once the younger generation really understands what manufacturing is about, we will close the skilled labor gap. Additionally, the use of social media is what separates the modern businesses from traditional companies. As social media remains an integral part of society, we must grow with it to stay relevant. We’re lucky to be maintaining our business as a small manufacturer, yet with a slow moving and disconnected supply chain we’re expecting delays on orders and possibly turning down business.
