President Nicole Wolter and Founder Ken Wolter recently attended IMTS 2024. IMTS has been a family tradition for many years. Read what Nicole has to say on the event and the bond it has created between her and her father.
"When I think back to my earliest experiences in the manufacturing world, I always come back to the memories of attending the IMTS - International Manufacturing Technology Show with my father. As a young girl, I didn’t fully grasp the significance of the event, but I knew it was special because it was something we shared together. Our trips to IMTS were more than just industry outings—they were a tradition that connected us and shaped my understanding of the business. Each visit to IMTS, I was in awe of the towering machines and the hum of innovation around us, but what truly captivated me was seeing my father’s passion. He’d explain the newest technologies and their potential impact on our family business, showing me firsthand the importance of staying ahead in the industry. These early experiences instilled in me not only a love for manufacturing but a deep respect for the work my father did and the legacy of our business, HM Manufacturing, Inc. As the years passed, IMTS became a family tradition. Now, as we run the business together, the show still holds the same meaning for both of us. It’s not just an opportunity to see the latest advancements—it’s a reminder of how far we’ve come, both personally and professionally. Each time we attend, I am filled with gratitude for the lessons my father has taught me and for the role IMTS has played in shaping our journey. IMTS has become a symbol of growth, innovation, and the unbreakable bond between father and daughter. It’s a tradition that continues to inspire us and drive our family business forward, and I’m proud to carry it on for many more years to come! "
